Zonez | Integrated Environments

We consider a ‘Zone’ as a place where the physical world and the digital world have merged. No matter if you want to tell your story in an exhibit, showcase your product in a showroom or make a sale in a retail environment – by creating consistent, inspiring and engaging experiences over all touchpoints you can create a series of effective experiences in the customer journey. Resulting in brand awareness, top of mind, brand engagement and ultimately in sales. Combining good business with good design.

Zonez  was set up in 2015 by Hemko van Wezel and Theoniek Verdurmen.

Formule Fabriek

Hemko van Wezel is a retail professional with over 20 years experience. Working for market leaders like: de Bijenkorf, Praxis, Hema and many others. His main field of expertise lies in strategy and retail formula development. Before setting up Zonez Hemko operated under the name of Formule Fabriek.

Brandis | Building stronger brands

Theoniek Verdurmen is a dutch designer specialised in brand and retail design. During his 20 plus year career he lived and worked in Amsterdam, New York and Mexico. Working for clients like: Philips, Royal Meddens, V&D Warehouses, Bose Europe and many others.
His work is a mix of 2D/3D with a holistic approach to design. Theoniek enjoys creating distinctive brands that communicate authentic stories over all touch points of a brand.
In 2009 he set up network agency Brandis. Working for clients like: Expereo International, Royal Gazelle and Spoon Guru.
Before that he has been working as an independent designer for agencies like: Interbrand, Design Bridge and 180.


Soon after meeting in 2014 Formule Fabriek and Brandis started working together on a series of projects.
Like Seal Rehabilitation Center Pieterburen (strategy, shop in shop), Ziengs Shoes (strategy, brand identity and communication) and Carroom (strategy, brand identity, stand design).
Formule Fabriek and Brandis joined forces in 2015 to set up Zonez.
